Flew in to Kansas City early Thursday afternoon and found the weather pretty much like it was in Miami: 74 and sunny. Come to think of it, it was raining pretty hard when I left Miami in the morning, so the KC weather was better.
I really wasn't planning to run again today, but after a couple hours of work I decided to make use of the great weather and do a few miles. I took it easy and felt pretty good, putting in 4.75 miles in 44:03 for an average pace of 9:17. That pace was faster than I planned, but I certainly didn't push it. I just tried to maintain a comfortable pace.
It was good to be home again. That old Biscayne Bay run was getting a little boring ;-)
