Observations: 1) Pretty good sized snapping turtle in the road through the corn field. We stopped and let it snap at a water bottle. Yow! Jump back!
2. Family of skunks, which, I'm happy to report, we saw well in advance. They saw us, too, because their tails were all up and spread. We waited until they disappeared into the corn, then slipped by. Quickly.
3. Deer.
4. Lots of tall corn.
Thoughts: None, really. Talked with Mike all the way.
Session comments: Perfect long run. Kept it conversational all the way except the last two miles, during which I separated from Mike and sped up a little.
