Cool but humid

This was the coolest morning of the week - 73 degrees - but because it had rained overnight the humidity was well over 80 percent. That made the conditions tougher than Wednesday morning, when the air temp was 85 but humidity was low.
I was only going 3 or 4 miles, though, so the conditions didn't matter all that much. I was even cheered a bit by the re-appearance of a doe that has been on my route most of this week. She is usually standing just off the road in an unimproved cul-de-sac I use early in my run. She shows interest, but no real concern, as I pass by within a few feet.
I went very slowly for the first three miles, trying to adhere to the training instruction that this was to be "3 easy." At the end of three miles my average pace was 10:25. I was still a little over a mile from home, so I decided I'd try to get the average down to 10. I did the last 1.3 miles in an average pace of 8:10, and brought the average pace for the whole run down to 9:46.
I finished with 4.3 miles in 42:02.
