It was almost cold this morning. I had to put on a long sleeved shirt for my run on the river trail. The temp was in the mid 50s, and the river area was hazy, almost foggy. The breeze made it feel like upper 40s.
I thought it might rain, so that got me going a little faster than I might have otherwise. I was only going to go about 6, so even if I went out too fast it wasn't like it was going to be a disaster. You can always finish 6 miles.
I opened with a 9:30, then averaged 8:55 for the next two miles. After a short stop for a little hydration, I started over again, opening with a 9:23 and then averaging about 9 for the next 2+ miles. My overall pace was 9:07 for 6.23 miles.
