Trolley Run

Sunday turned out to be a fantastic day for a race. It was sunny, cool and calm for the Trolley Run, a fun 4 mile point-to-point race into the Plaza. It's mostly downhill, so most everyone has a good time, if not a PR.
I didn't PR (that was last year), but did manage a pretty decent 30:43, with is an average of 7:41 per mile. My splits were 8:15, 7:28, 7:21 and 7:28. It was a 95 percent effort, as I was unwilling to go all out and risk injury. Nothing to be gained by that.
My time was good for 12th place in my division, which had 121 runners, and overall I was the 908th person to finish - out of 8,400.
To warm up for my 4-mile sprint, I ran an easy 2.3 miles before the race.
I signed up for another half marathon on May 15.
