Trying to heal

Distance: 4.08 miles
Time: 42 min.
Average: 10:18
Run type: Easy
Location: The gym
Weather: 40 outside (and dark)
Aches: none
Injuries: Groin
Session notes: This week is all about healing up the groin, and as of today I'd say there's quite a ways to go. On a "healed" scale of 1-10, with 10 being completely healed, I must be at about 2. If I had to run a marathon today, my chances of finishing would be about 10 percent. It's not that I can't run, but after a certain distance, probably about 10 miles now, my groin just gets too sore and fatigued to keep going. I COULD keep going, but it probably wouldn't be wise. Happily, I don't have a marathon today. I'll spend the week resting and icing. Mileage will be very low (3 Tuesday and 2 each of Friday and Saturday) and slow. No matter what, I will start the race and go as far as possible. I don't think I should be thinking about qualifying, PR'ing or even breaking 4 hours. The current goal is to finish. Anything more is a bonus.
