Observations: 1) Skunk crossed the street well enough in front of me just before dawn. Acted like he didn't see me, but I didn't trust that and went as far around as I could. 2) Two deer bounded out of a backyard and ran ahead of me on the other side of the street for a short distance. They were a bit faster than I was, and more graceful.
Session comments: Temperature was perfect; I worked up a good sweat, but it didn't really adversely affect my workout. It's getting easier to get up at 5 a.m. I wore my "racers," a lighter pair of running shoes. They have about 100 miles left in them, which I'll use up and then buy a new pair.
