I closed out the last of my major training miles for Little Rock today with a half marathon training run. It was cold out again - all the nice days now seem to come during the middle of the week - but not as bad as last weekend.
I decided I wasn't going to hurry this run. There was no reason to, really, and every reason to take it easy and not get hurt or re-injured. So, I just ran a steady, untiring pace for the first 8 or 9 miles, and then speeded up a bit to get out of the cold and get it over with. I finished in 1:59:24, which, for me, is pretty good for not pushing it. I think I'm in good shape for Little Rock. I'm a little concerned about the plantar faciitis in my left foot (could I have done 26 on it today? no), but it should heal pretty well in the next couple of weeks when the miles are really low.
