Terrible day

I just hate days like today. You know: Middle of the winter, 60-plus degrees, sunny, gentle breeze. Nasty.
Nasty because it came on a work day. It could not be used for any personal gain. It was out there, and I couldn't be out there with it. What a waste.
Naturally, winter comes back with a jolt on Saturday. That's the day all us runners are supposed to go out and do our long run of the week. Yup, it'll be 23 with enough wind to make it feel like 10. Sweet.
I'll be out there, though. I'm not running inside only to find out other more motivated runners - J and A for instance - stood up to the elements. The shame.

Real advice for new runners: go out against the wind and run back home with it.

I know what you're shooting for this weekend and next, so good luck. I know you'll do great. We can compare notes afterward.
