Hottest day of the year - 90 - but running wasn't as bad as you might think. The air was dry and there was a breeze. My goal was 5.7 miles, which would give me 20 miles for the week so far. Now I can pretty much lay off and rest up for the Trolley Run, which is this Sunday. That's a 4-mile all-out mostly downhill race into the Plaza. It won't be 90 when that one starts. The forecast is for 38 degrees as we assemble for the start.

As for today, I somehow managed to run 5.7 miles in 51:51, which is a pretty fast 9:06 pace. I'm surprised by that, because my legs were pretty much tapped out after doing 13.1 on Saturday, 6.3 on Monday, and 8 on Tuesday. At the most I'll run 6 more miles before Sunday, just to stay loose.
