We had a Men's Running Club gathering last night, and I wavered back and forth all day on whether to actually run. By the end of the afternoon my foot was feeling pretty good, although my left calf was sore from Saturday's run, in which my form was all off from compensating for my foot pain.
As it turned out, I was delayed getting away from the office and I was going to miss the start with the group. Even though I had changed into my running gear I was pretty sure I wasn't going to run. About then, one of the other runners called and said he'd run with me, since he was going to be late, too. Just like that, I changed my mind.
In the end, the run went much better than I anticipated. I used heel cups in my running shoes and we kept a very easy pace on the soft surface. Overall, we covered 3.04 miles in 31:34, which is a 10:24 pace. I think the treatments are starting to pay off.
