I'm pretty happy with the way today's workout went: 9:04 pace for a 50 min. run. I covered 5.52 miles, starting out at a 10 min. per mile pace and working up to an 8:13 pace. That's the best I've done since returning to running in mid December, and it makes me think I might be able to do some races this year after all.
Despite how well things are going, the need for caution is continuously on my mind. I guess that's necessary, given where I've come from, but's it's not the best way to exercise. I find it a lot more fun and productive if I can just go with the flow - hard or easy, fast or slow - without any worry about how I might hurt myself.
I'll just give it time and let it work itself out.
