T minus 40 hours

The trip to the doctor was very fruitful. He's really a chiropractor, but most of his practice is sports medicine/physical therapy. He travels with KU sports teams and works with the Chiefs and Royals, plus has his regular practice. As such, he's very familiar with sports injuries and how to treat them. I came off his table feeling like I could immediately run my marathon. I don't know how I'll feel Sunday, but I think it will be better than it would have been otherwise.
The doctor told me it was unlikely I'd hurt myself any further by running, and gave me some stretches to use before Sunday and even during the run if I need them.
So now I think my chances of finishing have improved quite a bit, if for no other reason that it would be OK for me to run through some pain if I wanted to. Let's put it at 75 percent, as long as I don't aim for a specific time and just run to finish.
