Warming up

The runs this week have all been done is pretty warm conditions, especially when compared to any other week in the past several months.
Thursday was typical - 80 degrees and bright sunlight. I don't mind the heat this time of year, though, because the humidity is usually pretty low. I can take hot or humid, but put both of them together - as most of summer will be - and it makes running a real challenge if the distance is much over 6 miles.
Thursday's 7 mile run went pretty well. I tried to take it easy in the first half, and I did for the most part. My last three miles were my fastest and my overall time was just 8:55, which is a comfortable pace.
Saturday the schedule calls for a 10-mile run, which I will do in the morning before the weather heats up.
